Pelargonium Echinatum "Miss Stapleton"

£0.00 incl tax

The sweetheart pelargonium (because of heart shaped blotches on the upper petals)

Definitely another crossover pelargonium appealing to collectors of cacti/succulents too because this one has thick fleshy stems, tuberous roots and small spines on it's stems. Also called 'cactus geranium' in America, 'echinatum' is from the latin 'echinate' meaning armed with prickles or spines.

This differs from the previous listing simply by the colour of it's flowers which are purple pink and the heart shape is repeated on the lower petals (to lesser success) with a small amount of red veining.

Height approx 16 inches and believed to  be a cross between Echinatum and Cortusifolium.
