Vectis Diana Mackenzie

An older seedling of mine which I have used extensively as a parent plant to pass on the beautiful metallic quality of the flower which I think you can see clearer in the second pic. Winter dormant, free flowering with 20 plus top-branched buds per scape.

Simply put, this is a Bronze 'self'' (where a flower is all one colour) although strictly this does have a darker eye (sometimes with a maroon influence) surrounding a small golden throat. The metallic quality is stable and never lost even on hot days even though the colour may lighten. The metallic sheen is quite stunning - it really is an iridescent metallic bronze.

Works very well with other bronze, brown foliage plants such as Carex.
